Lobby group Family First has presented a petition signed by 50,000 people to MPs from Labour, National and NZ First, calling on them to reject the (same-sex marriage) bill.
The petition said: “I support the definition of marriage in New Zealand being maintained as one man one woman. I oppose any attempt to redefine it.”
So 1.13% of the total population is against what is essentially a silly Bill (as I’ve said before, marriage? WTF? Is your head screwed on?) but if poofters want to see if they can get it through, that’s their democratic right. I especially like how all these so-called “Christian” groups are all against it at the same time as the perverted members of the clergy are boy-buggering and screwing tithes out of poor families – obviously two jokers or two sheilas having a piss-up for their friends is obviously more important than padeophilia and poverty….
And as for the “one man one woman” thing, they obviously haven’t driven down Esk St on dole day. It’s hard to tell them apart….

At the risk of sounding apathetic, I just do not care about this issue. As far as I’m concerned, it’s not even an issue. I thought that Jesus chap preached the whole peace and tolerance scenario?
I suppose I’m obliquely making the point that there is an awful lot of stuff on the Order Paper that could do with a similar level of scrutiny, but this non-issue has taken over the entire agenda. Shows the stupidity of our media. And God botherers.
